We invite Canadian 2SLGBTQIA+ choruses, their singers and staff, individuals from the general community, and community organizations to become members of Unison Choruses Canada.

Membership Structure

The Unison membership year runs from January 1 to December 31.

Choruses (Class A) 

  • Open to Canadian 2SLGBTQIA+ choruses 
  • Membership fees are based on the number of singers in your chorus. 
  • Annual fee:  
    • 1-15 singers – $35 
    • 16-100 singers – $75 
    • 100+ singers – $125

Chorus Singers & Staff (Class B)  

  • Open to singers and staff members of member choruses  
  • $5 annual membership 
  • Four-year membership is included with festival registration.  
  • All chorus singers and staff who attended the 2018 festival in Calgary receive complimentary membership for 2021.

 Affiliate Individuals (Class C) 

  • Open to individuals other than singers and staff of member choruses  
  • $5 annual membership   
  • Four-year membership is included with the festival registration fee for individuals who attend a festival.  
  • Individuals who attended the 2018 festival in Calgary receive complimentary membership for 2021. 

Affiliate Organizations (Class D) 

  • Open to organizations other than member choruses  
  • $100 annual membership

  • $50 discount on festival registration 
  • Right to vote to elect Directors 
  • Option to bid to host festivals and representation in host city selection process  
  • Participation in online chorus development sessions  
  • Online promotional opportunities for your chorus 
  • Infrastructure for festival host choruses  

Individuals (chorus singers & staff and affiliate individuals)

  • Right to run for the Unison Choruses Canada Board of Directors 
  • Access to resources
